The Consultative Workshop on National TB Digitalization Roadmap, inaugurated with opening remarks by the National Coordinator CMU on February 19, 2024, marked a pivotal moment for National TB Control Program. Supported by USAID’s IHSS-SD Activity and JSI, the program aims at shaping a comprehensive framework to digitize TB services nationwide. The workshop focused on collaborative efforts aimed to streamline interventions, fostering effective TB management across provinces. The landscape analysis revealed varied software implementations, necessitating integration and synchronization efforts. The workshop, attended by NTP and Provincial TB Control Program representatives alongside experts, sought consensus and prioritization for the National TB Digitalization Framework and Roadmap. Together, they aimed to optimize TB management nationwide using digitilization initiatives.

The National Coordinator CMU and her team recently visited the Federal Secretariat of the APLHIV, gaining insight into its operations and initiatives for the HIV Community. The visit fostered collaboration, enhancing the working relationship between APLHIV and CMU. It promises a more impactful support system for those affected by HIV.

On February 15th, 2024, National Coordinator CMU chaired a pivotal meeting at Pakistan’s Ministry of National Health Services. Discussions focused on the Provincial HIV/AIDS Control Programme, providing insights and updates. Representatives from UNAIDS, UNDP, and Nai Zindagi were also present, highlighting collaborative efforts in combating the HIV/AIDS epidemic. This gathering underscores Pakistan’s commitment to informed strategies and coordinated interventions.

On February 14, 2024, Omnitech presented the operational insights of Delft systems, particularly Delft Light. The meeting agenda delved into understanding Delft Light and MAC systems. Key points from the minutes included its solar-powered functionality, delicate nature, data storage capabilities, security measures, and plans for training and installation.

On February 13th, 2024, the National Coordinator CMU steered the PMU/CMU-NACP Coordination Meeting. The agenda encompassed pivotal topics: prior meeting notes review, HIV Activity calendar scrutiny, IPCM agenda finalization, forecasting and quantification response, and MIS response with a set date for the recommended Global Fund plan meeting

The National Coordinator of CMU, along with her team, chaired the meeting with HIV/AIDS provincial programme managers. The virtual meeting centered on preparations for the upcoming Partners Coordination Meeting slated for February 15, 2024. Discussions revolved around strategic planning, and collaborative efforts to ensure the meeting’s success.

Led by the National Coordinator and her team, the TB Guidelines Review Meeting in Sindh, Karachi, united stakeholders to refine guidelines and foster innovation in TB management for 2024-2026. Through collaboration, the gathering aimed to enhance interventions and standards, heralding a new era in TB control efforts.

National Coordinator CMU visited the PACP Office in Sindh, fostering discussions on the successes, challenges, and future strategies for HIV/AIDS interventions with Dr Sikandar, Manager PACP Sindh, and the staff. Collaborative dialogues centered on optimizing implementation frameworks to address emerging needs, signaling a concerted effort to enhance HIV/AIDS control and prevention measures in the region.

On January 31st, 2024, the National Coordinator chaired the PRs Coordination meeting for ICCM. The CMU Malaria technical unit and Indus Hospital delved into updates on the ICCM intervention pioneered by IHHN. Discussions encompassed modalities, key activities, staff, challenges, and invaluable lessons learned, marking significant progress in healthcare implementation.
