The Technical Working Group (TWG) on Integrated Community Case Management (ICCM) was held on 3rd September in Islamabad, chaired by Dr. Muhammad Ayyaz Mustafa, Deputy National Coordinator, Common Management Unit (CMU). The meeting brought together representatives from WHO, VBD & CDC Sindh, IVMP Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, MCM Balochistan, and NRSP, along with three WHO National Professional Officers for TB, HIV, and Malaria.
Discussions centered on strengthening integrated and collaborative efforts among the three disease programs to enhance service delivery, fortify the health system, and promote equitable, quality healthcare. The group emphasized the importance of integration into Primary Health Care, advancing Universal Health Coverage, reinforcing referral systems, fostering disease-specific integration, and promoting people-centred service delivery to ensure accessible, coordinated, and sustainable health outcomes across Pakistan.
